What to Pack Image
What to Pack

The dress code in the islands is casual and the key to comfort when boating is layers. We've provided a suggested packing list (linked below) to guide you as you pack for your course. Storage space onboard is limited so remember to pack your gear in a compressible, soft-sided bag, rather than rigid luggage that may damage the boat and won't fit in the onboard storage spaces.

During your course everyone will take turns participating in the meal preparation and clean up. We've designed a menu that is easy to prepare but is tasty and provides nice variety. Be sure to notify us if you have dietary restrictions or allergies.

Return Day Image
Return day

When taking the 4-day Course, you'll return to Bellingham late afternoon on Day 4. You'll likely spend time that afternoon on docking practice and will conclude with a visit to the fuel dock before your head back to your slip to offload. You can expect to be off your boat by 5pm and on your way home shortly thereafter. Students often ask about tipping their instructor. For guidelines visit our FAQ.
